Please read through this entire page before filling out an adoption application.

Hi Everyone!

I’m Laura, and this is my wonderful family. For over 8 years, we’ve been on a journey of breeding Cockapoos, and the joy just keeps growing with each new litter. Our home is nestled alongside the Delaware River in the heart of the Northeastern US.

In our home, we have 2 beloved dogs, Stasia and Såfina. The rest of our pups are equally cherished in their guardian homes, which are essentially an extension of our family. These guardians, made up of close friends and family, provide a loving environment for our dogs. Whether raised in our home or with our trusted guardians, each puppy is showered with love and affection from day one, following the Puppy Culture program.

We take pride in our commitment to never confining our dogs to kennels; they’re true members of our family. Our goal in breeding these multi-generational Cockapoos is simple – to bring joy to other families by raising beautiful, happy, hypoallergenic fur babies.

What sets us apart is the bond we create with our buyers. We believe in forming friendships built on trust. We keep our buyers in the loop with lots of pictures, starting from the day their newest family member is born. We playfully call your purchase of our puppies an “open adoption” and love it when our extended families reciprocate by sharing photos with us through the years.

The line of communciation with us is always open. If after reading through the information below you find yourself with any questions, please contact me! I am here to answer any questions you have. We’re not just breeders, we’re a forever resource for your family.

-Laura

Adoption Process

We’re thrilled to embark on this journey with our forever families, sharing all the special moments during this exciting time. Below you will be able to familiarize yourself with our adoption process step by step. Please let us know if you have any questions!

Payments and Purchasing Your Puppy: Our pup price range is between $4,000 and $4,500 depending on the litter. Payments are made in the following order:

1. Waitlist Deposit ($500):

  • A non-refundable deposit of $500 secures your place on our waiting list.
  • This deposit is applied to the total purchase price of your puppy.
  • Waitlist deposits are transferable to another litter, ensuring your pup goes home at the best time for you.
  • No monies will be refunded under any conditions, as the deposit holds all sales of your puppy.

2. Litter Deposit ($500):

  • Once a litter is born, we notify everyone on the waiting list in order.
  • You have the option to commit to the current litter or pass and wait for a future one if the timing isn’t right.
  • If you choose to commit, the second half of the deposit, $500, is due within 48 hours of notification.
  • Once committed to a litter, the $1,000 deposit becomes non-transferable to ensure fairness for all buyers.

Note: It’s crucial to respond promptly within the 48-hour window to secure your spot; otherwise, we move on to the next person on the waiting list.

3. Final Puppy Payment (price range of $3,000-$3,500) + Sales Tax ):

  • The remaining balance is due when your puppy is 6 weeks old during the selection process (not pick-up).
  • If payment is not made within 24 hours of selection, you forfeit both your deposit and your spot on the litter.
  • Final payment is to be made via Zelle.

Note: Stasia’s CutiePoos reserves the right to have the first and/or second pick from all litters.

We aim for transparency and fairness throughout the process, ensuring both our buyers and our pups have the best experience. If you have any questions or need further clarification, feel free to reach out.

Looking forward to welcoming a new member to your family!

Application Process:

  • Submit Your Application: After completing the application on the “Application” page, we’ll move forward to the next steps.
  • Phone  Interview: Upon receiving your application, we’ll schedule a phone interview. This gives us a chance to get to know each other better and address any questions you may have for us.
  • Mutual Agreement: If both parties agree that one of our pups would be a good fit for you, it’s time to take the next step.
  • Initial Deposit: Make an initial non-refundable deposit of $500 to secure your place on the waiting list.
  • Confirmation Deposit: Once the pups are born, and we can confirm a pup for you from that litter, a second deposit of $500 is due, bringing the total deposit to $1,000.
  • Commitment to a Litter: Upon committing to a specific litter with the second deposit, please note that it becomes non-transferable to future litters.

The application is an integral part in us getting to know you and your family, which is so important for us as we make sure our puppies are going to homes that will be the perfect forever fit!

Waiting Period (Next 6 Weeks):

During the following six weeks, you’ll receive weekly emails containing individual photos of the puppies. Additionally, we’ll share valuable tips and tricks for feeding, grooming, and training your pup.

Puppy Selection:

After six weeks, our pups undergo a vet check, receive their first round of vaccines, and each gets a health certificate. We then invite our buyers into our home for the exciting Puppy Selection process. This typically happens over the weekend following the pups’ 6th-week birthday.

Final Steps:

  • Health Guarantee: Once you’ve selected your pup, we’ll provide you with a copy of your 1-year health guarantee.
  • Final Payment: At this point, the final balance of $3,500 is due.

We’re thrilled to embark on this journey with our forever families, sharing all the special moments during this exciting time. If you have any questions or need further clarification, feel free to reach out.

Looking forward to this wonderful experience together!

Policies & Guidelines

Communication is key, which is why it is important to us to share our policies and guidelines with you up front. Your understanding and cooperation with these guidelines are sincerely appreciated. Our commitment is to prioritize the safety and well-being of our puppies, ensuring a happy and healthy start to their new lives! Be sure to reach out if you have any questions.

FUR COLOR DISCLAIMER:

At Stasia’s CutiePoos, we take immense pride in raising healthy, happy Cockapoos. These wonderful dogs are living, breathing animals—not something that can be selected from a catalog for the exact shade of their fur. While we understand the desire for a particular coat color, it’s important to remember that Cockapoos carry the poodle gene, which can cause their fur to change or fade in ways that are sometimes unpredictable as they mature.

We cannot guarantee a specific color, but what we do guarantee is a well-cared-for, healthy dog with a loving temperament. If color is your primary concern, we may not be the right breeder for you. Our focus is and always will be on the health and well-being of our dogs. We invite those who share our commitment to the health and care of these wonderful animals to join our extended family of happy Cockapoo owners.

SIZE DISCLAIMER:

Similarly to the disclaimer above, we do not guarantee the full-grown adult size of our dogs. We can estimate adult size based on the size of the parents, but the Cocker Spaniel gene can influence the adult size, potentially resulting in a dog that is larger than either of its parents.

We appreciate your excitement about meeting our adorable puppies! To ensure the well-being of our furry friends, here are some guidelines for puppy visitation:

1. Timing and Vaccinations:

  • Visits are allowed after the puppies reach 6 weeks of age and receive their first vaccinations.
  • This precaution is crucial to safeguard the health of our pups, as young ones can be susceptible to illnesses.

2. Hygiene Practices:

  • Upon arrival, kindly remove your shoes and wash your hands.
  • While this may seem meticulous, it’s a necessary step to prevent potential illnesses, especially given the number of families wanting to visit.

3. Precautions for Visitors:

  • Please refrain from visiting other breeders, pet stores, dog parks, or friends who are unwell before coming to our home.
  • If you, or someone accompanying you, is feeling unwell, we kindly ask you to reschedule your visit.
  • Human ailments, like strep, can be transmitted to our dogs, and we prioritize the safety of our puppies.

For Distant Buyers:

  • If you’re unable to travel for a visit, don’t worry! We’ll keep you thoroughly updated.
  • Expect numerous pictures, videos, and regular updates on the puppy of your choice, allowing you to witness and know all about them from afar!

All puppies are ready for pickup between 8 and 9 weeks. If you are not able to pick up your new puppy within that 1 week window, we’re happy to accommodate under certain conditions:

1. Pricing:

  • If we are able to board your pup past the pickup window, it is a non-negotiable fee of $100/day.

2. Limited Availability:

  • We can board up to two pups at a time, depending on our schedule.
  • Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis and aligns with our capacity and training commitments.

3. Training Focus:

  • Boarding prioritizes training needs rather than following the traditional waiting list order.
  • During their stay, your pup will receive one-on-one nighttime sleep training in our bedroom, transitioning from the nursery.
  • Days are filled with play, cuddles, manners training, potty training, and outdoor playtime—mirroring the ideal environment in your home.

4. No Housebreaking Guarantees:

  • We don’t guarantee full housebreaking during the boarding period.
  • Each home environment varies, and it may take time for the pup to adjust once back home.
  • However, we’re committed to providing the best training, focusing on potty training, leash walking, and basic commands like sit, lay down, and come.

5. Vet Visits:

  • Any additional vet visits required for vaccines during the boarding period will be at your expense.

Our Promise:

  • While we can’t guarantee complete housebreaking, we promise to put our best efforts into training and preparing your pup for their return home.

Please Note:

  • Boarding availability is subject to our schedule.
  • Training focus takes precedence over the traditional waiting list.
  • Vet visits for vaccines during this time will incur additional expenses.

RETURN POLICY:

We understand that sometimes things don’t go as planned, so we offer a 1-week grace period for you to assess the compatibility of your pup with your family. If, within this period, you find that it’s not the right fit, you may return your puppy. However, please note:

  • Returning within 7 days incurs a 50% forfeiture of your total purchase price.
  • Familiarize yourself with our Terms of Sale and Health Guarantee before making any payments.
  • Returns will not be accepted on the basis of fur color preference after taking a dog home.

ONGOING SUPPORT:

We are committed to the lifelong well-being of our pups. If, at any point, you are unable to keep your puppy, they are always welcome back in our home. However, after the initial 1-week grace period, returns do not qualify for a refund.

BUSINESS PRACTICES:

Our priority is the emotional and physical health of our puppies. Hence, we reserve the right to refuse business if we believe it won’t result in the perfect match or if a working relationship seems unfeasible.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need further clarification. We look forward to a happy and harmonious partnership with our forever families!

Taking Your Pup Home

Adding a fluffy new member to your family is the best decision you will ever make, but we know it can be stressful! Rest assured, we set you up for success before heading home with your puppy for the first time.

One of the most common questions I receive is about tail docking. Our approach is rooted in preserving our pups’ natural state; we do not remove dewclaws or dock tails. Instead, we honor the way they are created.

Puppy Training Milestones:

  • Pellet Training (3 weeks old): Our commitment to easing the housebreaking process starts early. At 3 weeks old, we initiate pellet training, laying the foundation for seamless housebreaking when your pup joins your home.
  • Pen Expansion and Crate Introduction (4 weeks old): At 4 weeks, we expand their living space and introduce a small puppy crate. The crate serves as a soft, comfortable space, with the door always left open to encourage a sense of security and comfort.
  • Crate Training Initiation (6 weeks old): Crate training begins at 6 weeks. We gradually close the crates for short periods, often with two or more pups together. This process helps them acclimate to their crates without fear, creating a positive association.
  • Individual Crate Ownership (7 weeks old): By 7 weeks, each pup has their own crate. We start crating them for part of the night, fostering independence and comfort in their personal space.
  • Outdoor Potty Breaks (7 weeks old): Additionally, at 7 weeks, they are introduced to outdoor potty breaks every 3-4 hours during the day, further reinforcing positive bathroom habits.

Our commitment to these milestones ensures that your pup receives a thoughtful and gradual introduction to essential aspects of their environment, promoting their well-being and a smooth transition to your loving home.

Your new furry family member will come home equipped with everything they need for a smooth transition
